After the spectacular return of the AJ 4 OG this February, Jordan Brand once again releases an Air Jordan IV this Saturday. The new edition belongs to the “Dunk from Above” collection which also features an Air Jordan V Low. The collection is inspired by Michael Jordan’s relentless ability to take flight. The AJ4 was actually the first basketball shoe to feature the word “Flight” – underneath the Jumpman logo on the tongue.
Some highlights of the Air Jordan IV “Dunk from Above” include the gum outsole and “Metallic Gold” logo details on the sockliner as well as the label on the backside of the tongue. The upper is made of midnight navy tumbled leather which sits atop a clean white midsole. With March Madness in full swing the combination of navy and yellow reminds us a little bit of the University of Michigan Wolverines. In the past, Michigan’s Fab Five played an important role in raising the popularity of the Nike Air Flight Huarache, so maybe that’s no coincidence. Scroll down for some more on-feet shots and detailed release info for this great new colorway!
