This Saturday, May 21, marks a special date as it is the first time since 1994 that we see this specific colorway of the Air Jordan 2 Low returning. The “Chicago” is inspired by the colors of the Bulls: white, red and black. During the 1987 NBA season Michael Jordan actually wore this colorway on the low-top version of the AJ 2 on court.
The Air Jordan 2 was the first Nike shoe ever to be designed without the Swoosh logo. Instead of boasting the iconic logo which is associated with sports like probably none other the AJ 2 brought a new level of luxury to the sports industry. They were made in Italy. They featured faux lizard skin on the upper. So they really stood out. And there was a logo on them after all. On the tongue you find the popular Wings logo.
The retro release of the Air Jordan II Retro Low “Chicago” features a mostly white leather upper with the original faux lizard skin around the collar. Perforations around the toe box ensure ventilation. Black and “Varsity Red” accents throughout the sneakers bring us back to the glory days of the Bulls. Check below for detailed release info.
