Stephen Curry keeps on surprising.
Take last season for instance. Steph Curry not only shattered (his own) NBA records for threes made (402) and attempted (886), but gleamed with a 45.4% shooting percentage. Even more amazingly, 55.4% of his field goal attempts were from behind the arc. Then this season, on November 18, following an 0-10 shooting night from some games before, the 3-point wizard broke the all-time record for most threes in a single game with THIRTEEN, missing only four in total. (By the way, Curry occurs quite often in the list, making seven appearances already in the TOP 20 ranks!)
Last night in the Barkleys Center against the Brooklyn Nets, he did what he does better than anybody in the league nowadays: Curry hit in the 117-101 win over the Nets three three-pointers again – bringing him very very close to yet another historic 3-point-shooting milestone: After surpassing the Suns’ legendary Steve Nash with 1685 3-pointers, Curry closes in on our german NBA-darling Dirk Nowitzki. Only five 3-pointers remain until Steph outruns our german Wunderkind with his 1707 3-pointers. We are pretty sure, Curry will be on fire and hit 3-pointers after 3-pointers in tonight’s game against the Pistons as well as in the Christmas game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, cracking Dirkules’ record with ease. The pursuit race of Stephen Curry won’t stop. Even if he still has a long way to go to catch Ray Allen with his glorious 2973 3-pointers, he nonetheless will likely move up some spots on the list this season. He has a way better three point percentage than anybody that is ahead of him on this list – J.R. Smith, Dale Ellis and other 3-pointer-machines, watch out!

The Golden State Warriors’ Point Guard quickly developed into one of the most accurate and prolific three-point shooters the NBA has seen so far. He came into the league nailing three-pointers comparable to 3-point-numbers of entire teams. Steph Curry has zero intentions of slowing down his pace to the top. His latest stats are further proof, that this man is on the fast track and eager to fight for his second ring. After blowing the notorious 3-1 lead in last year‘s NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the three-point wonder wants revenge. Luckily, he has a new weapon at his side. No, I’m not talking about Kevin Durant here. Although KD definitely will not hurt the Warriors’ chase for championship number two, Steph Curry’s new weapon is much closer. It almost fuses with the two-time MVP.
The Curry 3 – All New, All Great
The weapon I am talking about, calls itself Under Armour Curry 3 and is Mr. Stephen Curry’s third signature shoe. It’s a shoe that heavily distinguishes itself from its predecessors. Just look at it: The silhouette, the design – Everything is new. Looks do not help you win championships, though. Performance does. Hence, Under Armour equipped the Curry 3 with a new woven upper, that delivers lightweight directional strength to support Steph’s fiery game. Threadborne is the name, a parachute’s lightweight, stretchy materials as inspiration. Definitely looks like UA developed an upper, that perfectly suits all those cuts, changes in direction and crossovers, Curry so elegantly delivers during a game of basketball.
Support Plus Cushion Equals Spectacle
Yet, there is more. Anafoam, a technology some might know from the Curry 1, delivers body-mapped fit, lightweight structure and support. The Meta-Wing, a carbon fiber shank, provides locked-in stability through the heel, arch and forefoot. Sounds nice, you might thing. But what about the cushion, you might ask. Well, ever heard of Charged? This responsive, yet comfy cushion that enhances first-step speed? That’s what helped Curry deliver when stepping on the court in recent years. And that’s what helps him doing the exact same thing this season.
Apparently, we have just met a pretty impressive performance shoe. A shoe, that should be able to keep up with Steph’s jaw-dropping game – which brings us right back to the looks. Because, as much as one needs technology, one still wants to look good while playing ball in front of millions of people, right?
