It’s the time of the year again. People keep on reviewing their choices, their achievements, their wins and their mistakes. Sneakerheads do that as well – in another kind of way though. We SEE our good decisions and bad decisions right in front of our eyes: in our shoe cabinet! Bargain shopping at the mall gone wrong or best purchase ever? Either way, 2016 has been full of collecting kicks and an always empty pocket. While others start contemplating about their New Year resolutions, we start figuring out which sneakers to cop next year. There will be bargains, investments, fast purchases and bad buys again, but we keep on expanding our collection, no matter what.
Been there, done that. In 2016, we rocked the latest Jordan on one day, while we wore the freshest adilettes the other day. There have been colorful, simple, eye-catching, futuristic, delicate, comfortable as well as odd sneakers on our feet, but we still have our very own favorites. Sneakers, we wore at concerts, in clubs and at festivals – and we can’t believe that they still look that fine. Sneakers, we solely wore at rare occasions because they were to precious to even be outside their box. Sneakers, we wore everyday because they matched every possible outfit in our closet. Sneakers, we loved at first glance while others showed their true value after a time. Sneakers, we were complimented for and raised eyebrows. Sneakers, we tried to hide into our closet because we were in such a shopping frenzy, we bought everything that was in close distance.
Thus, we decided to start a photo competition. Competition might be the wrong choice of words, though. Of course, we don’t just want to show off our kicks. We rather would like to create an interactive experience. Share your own favorite sneakers with us! Nike Air Huarache
This is actually my first pair of Huaraches and I bought them for my last vacation as I needed something light for everyday use.
The triple white colorway goes with about anything and they are extremely comfortable to wear. Not my last pair of Huaraches I’m sure.
Nike Free Flyknit Chukka
I did not even realize I brought the same shoe like last time. Well, it just shows how much I like the Flyknit Chukka.
Easily the most comfy sneakers I own. In the morning if I already know there will be a lot of walking during the day, this is the shoe I put on.

I usually stick to subdued colors, so getting this one a couple of years was a leap for me. No regrets tho.
This is one of my favorite shoes to wear on a sunny day. The many colors make it impossible to color coordinate it with anything else and that’s what I love about it.

I have lots of SCII but this colorway got the most mileage by far. The gun metal colorway is subdued and a bit shiny at the same time.
It’s the sneaker I wear when I don’t put too much thought about the whole look. Need a new pair though. These are WORN.
