Bigger, Better, Deffer!
The new KICKZ store located in Hamburg downtown represents our vision of a futuristic basketball store. No trade-offs, only the best! The store comes up with an indoor-court, high definition screens and 400 square meters split on three floors packed full of the best and most recent items on the basketball and streetwear market. The new store reinforces the connection between basketball and streetwear as two cultures that do not develop separately, but rather inspire and complement each other.
The Soft Opening
More than 150 guests from press and the fashion industry as well as several well-known sneakerheads, fashion blogger and lifestyle influencers from all over Europe were invited to celebrate the soft opening of our completely redesigned store in Hamburg on Thursday, March 22. Besides delicious mini-burgers and fresh drinks, Sascha Sibler was heating up the store with the finest hip hop beats. Moreover, all guests were able to create their own KICKZ x Rothco T-shirts while artist SKOR72 offered the opportunity to design your very own Stance socks by adding a typography or graffiti pattern.
The Public Opening
At the public opening event on Friday, March 23, we opened our doors and finally welcomed everyone. Every basketball and streetwear enthusiast could come by and enjoy the unique vibes the new KICKZ store spreads. Besides fresh music played by DJ Boogie Dan from Berlin and an outstanding moderation by the one and only Roger Rekless we offered some specials that made the grade of a dope opening weekend: Sneaker raffles, exclusive releases, dead cheap opening deals, a Stance shootout contest (one-year Stance sock supply for one lucky winner) and the KICKZ x Rothco design area. Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred Toe’, Air Jordan 3 ‘Dunk Contest’, Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cement’ and the release of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Game Royal’ – we had them all at the KICKZ Hamburg store.
KICKZ is opening up a new chapter. This store with a certain showroom flair and a clean modern style pushes the boundaries of retail to a whole new level. Basketball is back in town!
